Housed within a former factory complex, The Roundhouse is a collection of masterfully restored buildings offering a full-service hospitality experience. Overgrown and boarded up for years, a Beacon family purchased the property and recruited renowned design and architectural studio The Rockwell Group to help restore it. Local businesses, artisans and craftsmen were used to breathe new life into a site that holds an important place in so many Beaconites’ hearts. Inspired by years of celebrating life’s biggest and smallest milestones, The Roundhouse was created to help others do the same.
The boutique hotel boasts 41 upscale guest rooms in a mid-century modern design. Guests can choose to stay in cozy street-side quarters, airy loft rooms or spectacular penthouse suites. The beautifully appointed rooms, feature locally-crafted furniture and lux amenities.

The event space showcases a unique combination of the property’s industrial and rustic past. Original wood beams, exposed brick walls and floor to ceiling windows overlooking the creek set the scene for the most memorable events. The space can host up to 200 guests and includes indoor and outdoor options for ceremonies and parties. The experienced event team at The Roundhouse can assist with all aspects of planning and professional service staff is there to ensure every event is exceptionally executed.
Once known for its industrial focus, Beacon has evolved into a respite for art lovers, filled with galleries, home to the legendary DIA: Beacon museum and just a 25 minute drive away from Storm King Art Center. Easily accessible from New York City via MetroNorth, Beacon is a great daytrip or weekend destination. The walkable town includes many boutique shops, antique stores and galleries. A short venture out of Beacon will take you to nearby attractions, including the Culinary Institute of American, the FDR historic site and other historical homes, and the Walkway Over the Hudson.
